"Had a wonderful family trip here for 9 nights in July. Loved the size of the rooms and location of the property. Kids loved the pool, beach and golf. Staff were all very friendly and helpful when we got to the resort.
My only compliant was when I had questions prior to the trip. Some were answered online and some just ignored. Then when I called the property I was rushed off the phone."
"Impossible to get into any of the “free”programs included in your resort fee.
Also, the hotel lost its beach—other hotels in the area have wider beaches, so if you prefer the ocean, keep that in mind."
"Ocean view room doesn’t really mean actual ocean view. It’s a very partial ocean view at best. That is basically due to the layout of the hotel. The renovated building has no balcony so the view is worse. Non-renovated rooms are quite outdated, may have a balcony with only a partial ocean view. If you want a panaromic ocean view this is not the hotel for you. Renovated rooms are nice but still not worth the expensive price tag per night."
"We found the hotel to be very clean. The staff have to be very friendly. We bought the breakfast package to eat at the Maui brewing Company every day and it was excellent and the view of the ocean can’t be beat."
"Stayed here for 6 days in a 2 bedroom suite. Room was clean and furnished nicely with access to full kitchen and stove. Also had in unit washer dryer. Housekeeping staff did daily turndown and cleaning and were very helpful and friendly. Property well maintained and hotel staff were very hospitable. Only downside of this resort was that amenities were limited. They had a grab and go store but was very limited with snack and drink selection. Would have loved to have some type of small grocery store on property or within walking distance of resort. Shopping and dining options also close but still had to drive and leave resort for this. Resorts in Wailea had better access to Shops at Wailea. Overall good experience, but hoping that the property will expand more for the guest experience. Poke bar onsite anyone? 😉"
"We stayed in a 2bdrm ocean front suite and it was perfect! The suit was very clean and the view was absolutely stunning, especially at sunset! The staff were very friendly and super helpful. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant. Not a ton of options but what they did have was good. Loved the ease of getting pool/beach towels and snorkel/boogyboard rentals. We saw countless sea turtles and a monk seal came up on the beach one morning. If we come back to Maui we would absolutely stay here again. You can not beat the price for what you get!!!"
"My family & I love this hotel!!! We just spent 9 days at there in May. We’ve been coming to the Royal Lahani since 2003. The resort is clean, the staff is helpful & friendly. The beach is beautiful & the ocean water is so clear & blue. While we were in the water two sea turtles swam right next to us, they were headed toward the reef by the black rock!!!. It was an awesome experience to see such beauty. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant, the ice cream shop & the rooster on the grounds that crowed throughout the day. The hotel is close to Whaler’s village, other shops & stores."
