"Rooms were very clean and newly renovated. Grounds were well kept and just how we remembered from 19 years ago. The beach is only about 50 yards from the sand bottom pool, waking up to awesome sunrises. The only bummer was the lobby was closed for renovation during our stay. We were excited to see it but it was all closed. The reception area was relocated to a small meeting room near the gift shop/concierge. We had fond memories of the lobby during our honeymoon from so many years before and were hoping to see it again. Navigating to your room is a little tricky since there is no central point to start from (old lobby). You figure it out eventually. Other than this, I would surely stay here again. We chose outrigger for its location on Kauai which is just north of Lihue airport. It is a great launching point as it is midway between Princeville and Waimea Canyon/Poipu if your plan is to visit the entire island. It is the reason we chose Outrigger 2 decades before and the reason we chose it again. We hope to visit again one day, hopefully the lobby will be completed! "

"We enjoyed our stay on the property. Great spot to watch sunsets as the property is on the beach. Our cottage was over 100 years old. I was able to learn more about the history of our cottage from the hotel's history printout. If you're looking for a quite plae in a relaxing location, this is it. "
