"The most comfortable bed in Japan. Staff lovely, great shared communal area. Rooms spacious and shower great. A little away from everything, but still had a wonderful relaxing stay. "

"We had a lovely stay at the hotel and the in room onsen was a real treat. The hotel is slightly out of town but no more than a 10 minute walk. The hotel itself is a little old fashioned but many of the hotel in this region seemed to be similar. "

"My husband and I stayed here for a night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Although we live only 2hrs away from Miyazu city, we decided to spend a night just to experience the stay here.
Atmosphere was amazing from the entrance throughout the room. Highly recommended for those who are willing to have a relaxing getaway!! "

"If you want to take a step off the beaten track in Japan this is a very good option. The hotel is situated in a very good place to explore the Kyoto on Sea area (this is not Kyoto city).
The Hotel will send a minibus at certain times of day to pick new visitors up from the railway station. The hotels offers visitors free bike hire for 4 hours and is relatively close to the bus route for exploring other parts of the area.
As this is not a city you are limited in the immediate area for places...

"Location was good, close to cable car and bus stop.
The property is in desperate need for some TLC. rooms are very tired, worn down and neglected. Not to resemble a true Ryokan. Charging 3*hotel rates but supplying a poor hostel standard. I skipped the second night and got a beautiful room in town for half the price.
Breakfast was ok. "

" The owner is a young man who has put his heart and soul into making the stay the best experience for the guests. He was genuinely warm and thoughtful. We were about to miss the bus to Osaka, and he immediately offered to drive us till the boarding point.
The stay was also quite memorable. This hotel is clean, and has so many facilities such as kitchen, dining area, spotless shower rooms with changing areas and powder rooms. There is also a coin laundry service. The cabin rooms are quite...

Hotel Route Inn Kyoto Maizuru -NISHI MAIZURU EKIMAE-
10/10 Excellent
"Could be the number one if the smoking floors were designed far away from the nonsmoking floors, and/or separate ventilation systems were installed. Apart from this, we are grateful for almost every good experience with Route Inn Hotel Nashi Maizuru "
"Location, location, location walking distance to everything you want from Amanohashidate tourist activities. Great hotel. I had a added pleasure of great sunrise view of the sun arising from Amanohashidate in early June (@4:45am)."
