"The staff truly love working there and love the place and feel so connected to it and the town. I’ve stayed many places in Steamboat over the years. Our family loves the town. We go at least 1-2x a year as my wife’s family used to have a place there for 20 years. This place is an absolute gem! Great walkability to everything and the free bus drops you off right outside. The access to skiing is superb with only a 15 min ride to the base. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I wish I didn’t for the only reason that I’d like it all to myself! I asked for towels, brought them in and told the lady at the desk, they were wet. I wanted to place them. Somewhere myself but she said “this is my job and I love it, hand them to me and I’ll take care of it. You’ll have fresh ones when you get back to your room later.” I can’t imagine better staff. "

"This place is clean, convenient and close to the Steamboat Ski Resort, but they don’t have elevator in the building so it is a little bit difficult for people carrying big suitcases to the second floor. The continental breakfast is included which is nice for skiers, so we can get on to the lift quicker. I would recommend this place to my friends who will go to Steamboat to ski in the future."

"This was my second stay at Nicky's Resort and it did not disappoint yet again. The River King ("Deluxe" as Expedia refers to it) cabin/room is a very comfortable stay. The instructions for accessing the room and any other necessary info. was communicated efficiently via email. I even called a few days ahead to confirm things and the lady was very helpful and assuring. Lovely stay next to the river and the Wapiti bar/restaurant next door was nice. Good communication from the resort via text and Expedia messaging upon checkout as well. "
