Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Crawfordsville by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"I was very impress with this hotel. The entire hotel was very very clean. Pool facilities very good.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
I dropped my checkbook and didn't know. They went to extraordinary lengths to return my checkbook to me.
This will be a place we will always stay when in Crawfordsville.
Kudos to them all."
"I booked the room for my husband & son who were going to the zoo Tues. morning. The car broke down, stranding them on the road. I contacted the hotel to see if we could get our fee waived due to circumstance (can provide proof of breakdown). They said only Expedia could waive fee. Expedia said it was up to hotel & they spoke to hotel & said I'd get an email. So far, the only email from Hampton is this. "How was your stay?"
Well, I really DIDN'T enjoy paying over a hundred and eighty five dollars for my family to NOT stay there, thank you very much."
"I've stayed at this hotel on 2 different occasions recently and found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. After one stay, I had left a cap in the room and the front desk called me before I left the parking lot to tell me I'd left a cap in the room. I consider that outstanding service! "
"The good:
The room was clean and comfortable.
The price was good.
The staff were very friendly.
Check-in/out was a breeze.
The bad:
Abandoned pool in the front of the property.
Room AC unit worked, but only in a plugged/unplugged fashion. No controls seemed to do anything.
In-room bathroom had no heat light, just an empty socket.
Mattress sagged pretty heavily in the center."
"Bed was good, pillows were awful. Door to room required excessive force to shut and lock. Bathroom door did not shut. There was no complementary breakfast as stated in the description. Paid way too much for this experience. Desk staff was pleasant at check in."
"We absolutely loved having brown stains on our ceiling, mattresses and sheets. The toilet didn’t flush properly, had to beg for towels and toilet paper. Sheets didn’t fit the bed and we had to constantly pull them back on. Beds way too small. Room wasn’t cleaned during our stay. It was a dismal experience."
"Excellent overall. Walking distance to the college and Lew Wallace study. Lots of history on the property alone to explore. Street parking only. My only complaint is that the windows are single pane glass and allow in a fair amount of ambient nose. "
