"From the moment of stepping into the hotel, the staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly... check in, bell hop and bartender at the on site bar. The room, although small, was pristine and well appointed with amenities, even the little rubber duckie in the shower/bathtub. The walk in closet is a nice touch to keep luggage and clothing out of sight and out of the way. The bed was super comfortable, the room was quiet despite the hotel being just off of Union Square and steps away from the cable cars coming and going. I enjoyed my stay so much that I have 2 more stays booked for next month"
"I had a truly wonderful stay, and I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the entire Front Office team (Craig) and also to Esteban from the breakfast staff.
From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, the Front Office staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Their warmth, professionalism, efficiency, and willingness to help with every request made our stay effortless and memorable. Every interaction was handled with kindness and a genuine smile.
Thank you guy!!!"
"Room: B
The hotel room was a decent size with 2 queen beds and a little sitting area with a couch. The bed was a little firm to my liking and my wife noticed the left side had a little dip. The air conditioning was a little loud, but luckily we are heavy sleepers. The TV only had a few channels but we didn’t really spend a lot of time in the room. It was comfortable enough for a few nights stay.
Amenities: A
The toiletries were standard, the gym was small (weights maxed at 50lbs, cardio machines, and a broken cable machine), and the pool was nice for when the sun came out briefly. Parking is a bit tight if you have a tall car so make sure it’s under 6ft. Very average I would say for most of the amenities. BUT the best part of the hotel was the breakfast buffet. A FULL breakfast - bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, pancakes, bagels, pastries, deli meats, fruits, granola, oatmeal, cereals, coffee, juices, several milk choices, and even toasters for the bagels/bread - made it worth it. Not having to worry about feeding my family in the morning made it so much easier to start our day off right. That alone made my overall stay a good one."
"The stay at this hotel was second to none in every category. The staff was very friendly and very professional and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as good as possible. Maria was very kind and friendly and I highly recommend that someone recognize her as the best agent on the staff. The concierge was very helpful and she was extremely nice handling all of our concerns and information about the city. The hotel restaurant was excellent and the hostess was a very kind person. I’m very grateful for their hospitality and attitude towards the guests who are staying in their hotel."
"Great location between Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Great vibe with a fun courtyard of activities for all ages. It's a little aged, but the vibe and the location make up for that. Reasonable price for you get."
"Suite number 8 has the best view in San Francisco!
The Staff at the Fairmont was incredibly friendly, a truly memorable experience. Our room was haunted by a hunchback looking ghost, we understand the hotel is old and historic, still worth the stay."
