"This was a wonderful experience. The host family was charming, considerate, and very accommodating. The pictured stairway is the entrance to the host's single family home. The host family lives upstairs over the one bedroom, one bathroom, work from home (wfh) studio apartment, which is on the ground floor. Everything was clean. "Booked a room traveling through , trusted Expedia , didn’t realize it was a non refundable room, walked into lobby which was filthy , lobby bathroom was out of order , the sorry excuse for a coffee table was completely empty and looked like it hadn’t been touched in months . I saw a roach crawl across the floor . There was a sign on the wall that said we will be conducting background checks for our guests and can refuse service at anytime . The parking lot was full of trash and looked like abandoned cars as well as unhoused people , overall the area and property felt very unsafe for traveling families with an autistic child , left after not even being acknowledged in lobby and tried to call Expedia to ask for help with a refund , they called the property in which the staff lied and said we didn’t even get out of car ! And then they told us sorry there’s nothing we can do about a refund because the lady at the property refused to refund us ! Overall experience with the property and Expedia was awful and disappointing! I also asked for a manager from Expedia to call me and was told I would have a return call within an hour which I never received !"

"The experience was not what we expected. We got there and try to eat and they said the all you can eat was open for us, so we came back to eat and then they said all the food was gone and it just open at 5pm we got there 530pm, the staff told us we can grub hub or go to the downstairs lounge and eat but we wanted a formal dinner and the next day we got setup for the boat trip and it was canceled. The staff never help us to get better food that night, it felt like o well you paid to get burger and fries dinner. I was exhausted of the disappointment. The breakfast was cold, french toast under cook the gravey for the biscuits was cold. It was not a good experience."

"I hate giving bad reviews! When I 1st arrived, was ignored so my husband had to finish the check in for me. He was giving only 1 key card for 2 ppl which later caused a major problem. and made sure I mentioned that he doesn't even get out the car, I'm just picking someone up. I wanted to make sure that it was communicated that my small dog didn't even get out the car or anything, which still seem like an issue. The final straw was on the 3rd night when when my niece wasn't there and she had the only room card key. The male working that night, possibly owner son, told me I needed to give him the key, kept questioning where was she, whats her name and kept insisting that I gave him the other card key, that I didn't have. I told him, I am the one on the reservation, only had 1, she's with her mom further away. He continued to be argumentative so I just called my husband and told him I couldn't take it anymore. Finally he handed me 2 room card keys but I was so upset I just got the 2 keys and didnt even stay there. Called hotel.com about the issue that I couldn't take it anymore and had to get another room for the last night. Because it was after hours had to wait. My husband went before 11 to see and we did get credit for last night and booked somewhere else! Beds uncomfortable, rooms outdated, TV glitch"
