" The location is excellent, but the property itself did not meet basic FIRE safety standards. There were no working fire alarms in the entrance floor apartment – the units had been installed but had been ripped off, placed on the side and had no batteries. We immediately messaged the owner and Expedia to sort it, as this is a serious safety issue, and received no response AT ALL. We ended up having to go and buy a fire alarm ourselves just to feel safe enough to sleep. The spiral staircase...

"Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. "
