"Booked and paid for the more expensive room with king size bed three months in advance. Upon arriving we’re told they were fully booked and only had queen size beds available even if we waited. When booking a luxury hotel this should not happen, I have never even had a budget hotel pull this. "

"The hotel itself is amazing - perfect place. The staff can not do enough for you, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. The pool area is great. Breakfast is perfect and has everything you could need. The shuttle boat to icon or the pier is great. My only downside is the location although on the river and it’s the best hotel we have stayed in Bangkok all the times we have been I just felt the location was too far out of the main areas but nothing a grab or bolt didn’t solve. "Everything was very good about this hotel with 2 exceptions. There was a strong sewer smell in the bathroom. It was also faintly there in the hallways. The free ferry did not appear when we wanted to return. The food, room and service were great. We got an upgrade and a later check out "

"Part of the Anantara riverside resort. While it is a little further out of the main central areas, the shuttle boat runs regularly to connect to the train lines at Saphan Taxin. Lovely modern hotel. Breakfast however was very crowded in quite a small room given the size of the hotel. The rooftop pool is lovely but again small and busy - not enough space for the number of guests. Staff great - very helpful and polite. Great stay overall for a few days but if I am coming back to Bangkok I would stay again at a hotel with more amenities and outside space. This feels like a modern, trendy city hotel with good decor, good bars and beautiful views across the river (which is not a criticism, these are all positives). "

"When you first walk in to the foyer you get the impression of grandeur. However, I wasn’t greeted/assisted by a doorman of any sort so I had to make 2 trips up the front stairs with my 4 bags. The staff at the desk were nice and polite and check in was quick and easy. As you head to your room alone and unassisted you start to see the place is starting to show its age. The room itself was quite large. There’s only one bedside table next to the bed. Great shower head with plenty of pressure by didn’t like that it was over a narrow bath. There was mould on the shower curtain and when on the toilet you could see a lot of mould on the upper edge of the wash basin. Towels not very soft. The A/C and fridge were a bit noisy and soundproofing of room not much good as there was a lot of road noise. On the plus side, a very nice pool but not much seating and no shade. Excellent buffet breakfast. Close to most attractions like Asiatique and Terminal 21 all in all not too bad. Maybe a little overpriced. "
