Staff was great and hotel was quaint and unique. Only complaint was the tv set up - weird stations and the movies were a bit temperamental with starting over or remote issues. But not a huge issue. Just letting someone know.

Nice to have bar in hotel. Good drinks. Free drink certificate with room. Creaky old floor and old carpet in room, small toilet, needs updated. Could hear guest next door through thin wall. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Very classic hotel with neat original wood and metal work. Very quiet with heavy doors and thick walls. No detail was left out. Engaging staff at the front desk and in the Bar Winslow. There were lots of fun shops and eateries surrounding it and even a brewery right across the street. I can't wait to go back again!
A beautiful and well curated hotel, yet still accessible and comfortable. The one minor inconvenience was parking, but we found spots within a block of the hotel. Lots going on in this area, we walked to dinner both nights and ate well!
Gorgeous historic hotel. We only stayed one night so we didn’t get a full feel for the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic experience! I have stayed here several times when in town for business. Always enjoy the unique experience this place offers. Friendly staff clean rooms.
Our room was great as usual and we enjoyed the craft cocktail at the bar. Continental breakfast with pastries from the bakery next door was irresistible! We will continue to make the Black Hawk Hotel our home away from home whenever we come to Cedar Falls.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in this charming, comfortable historic hotel. Staff accommodated our early check-in request. Loved the location on Main St. with many walkable good food options, as well as shopping, the river, parks, and trails. The hotel vibe was very chill and relaxing. Breakfast was minimal, but enough for a nice start. Loved hanging out in the lobby, including with our drinks from the Winslow Bar, for which we used our $10 hotel coupon. We were well pleased the hotel met our expectations.
It is a lovely historical property with great updates in the right places and antique features to make it an experience. The staff is helpful and friendly, the room was tidy and nicely cleaned.
This place was wonderful! We stayed two nights and loved it. The breakfast is pretty basic and there is no parking on-site which makes loading and unloading a bit difficult. But great location and cool building. The bar is fun as well.
very interesting old hotel that is well kept up. excellent large room with fridge and tub with jets. only issue breakfast which was just a big cinnamon roll with coffee.
My one night stay for a business trip was wonderful. The charm and the history of the hotel was amazing. The staff was kind and helpful. I will definitely be back.
