We stayed at The Elmwood only very briefly, en route to Cape Breton, but were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. Due to traffic delays we arrived well after their usual office hours (7a-7p) but management had arranged to have a clerk on the desk to greet us -- we very much appreciated that above-and-beyond service.

Limited maid service. They only change towels/sheets every 4th day. We only stayed 2 nights, so maid service never came to the room, not even to make the bed!

Nous avons réserver à la dernière minute et nous avons été très bien accueillis. Motel de 2 bâtiments refait à neuf à l’intérieur. Chambre spacieuse, propre et moderne. Quelques petites retouches à faire par ci par là mais tout y est. Literie confortable et climatisation assez silencieuse. Très bonne insonorisation, petit déjeuner compris pas très fournis mais fait la job. Nous recommandons cet hôtel !

Surprisingly quiet considering closeness to freeway and vehicles right outside the door. Unfortunately the Irving lights from behind were shining in through the bathroom window at night and then the sun in the morning. Great friendly staff, Amanda checked us in. There was another lady in the morning shift when I grabbed my mom’s coffee. Spacious and well organized.

The Elmwood was a great find. No more expensive than any others. The staff was welcoming. The picture is accurate, clean and recently renovated. The light continental breakfast was enough to get us going. The Carrabassett Coffee was excellent.
