"Really nice rooms & a much nicer hotel than just two stars. Beds super comfortable! Pictures in the room are nice. Rocking chairs on the balcony. Very convenient parking & elevator & near a grocery store. Only areas that need improvement are more than two bath towels, more than one regular coffee packet, & more channel selections on the tv. Maybe too not such bright lights outside the balconies so can sit out at night & enjoy, but hey, most hotels like this one don’t have balconies so that’s really cool."

"We stayed in the Lucille room this time. It’s larger than the Bowman with a full and a twin bed. The shower was amazing with great water pressure & nice hot water. Unfortunately, I didn’t put the plastic curtain inside the tub so I had to mop the floor with towels 😩. Again, great rate for the accommodations. One glitch was my entry code didn’t work when I arrived for early check in and my code didn’t work for the room when I came back from getting dinner. The staff at The Balsams helped with the issue and followed up to make sure I was all set."

"Loved everything about this property! Room and whole property were extremely clean which is most important to me! I highly recommend the room with a balcony- it’s a beautiful view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Look forward to visiting again!"

"From the moment I reserved to the moment I left the owners were in contact and insured I had a wonderful stay. Which I did! All this for 1 night. I walked into town for dinner and a downpour of rain blew in suddenly and John called to offer to come get me. This is Old School Real Deal welcomed hospitality in a world that seems to have its hand out for payment with no services delivered. The property is delightful with an extensive lovely front porch and comfy bedrooms. Breakfast was good. You won't be disappointed."
