"the hotel was in an ideal location. paid for a room with a balcony but was allocated a ground floor room with a balcony that was overlooked by a car park so that was disappointing and not what i expected. room was nice though and although a little basic was very clean, comfy and practical"

"Newly refurbished 1950s style retro room with view on main shopping street. Still very quiet. Very clean. Strict breakfast regime in stuffy breakfast room. Extensive roof garden area. Excellent restaurant."

"Room very clean and tidy with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were very nice and helpful bearing in mind that our German is very limited. Hotel is nicely situated with only a short walk in to town. Arnstadt has a beautiful old town centre with a great cafe opposite the Rathaus for afternoon coffee and strudel / ice cream sundaes etc . One of the few places open on Sunday. Nice place to stay for three or four days at least."

"Positives: Clean room, good breakfast, nice location downtown. I like the black bear in the lobby. Negatives: The wifi was so weak that it would not stay connected to either my phone or my computer. When I said something to the desk clerk, she offered a lame excuse - she said that some laptops just don't connect very well, but phones do connect well. That was wrong, neither device would connect. When I checked out, I mentioned it to a different clerk, who apologized. The water in the shower...

" Nice location, out in the country. Cobbled narrow road to hotel. Shower on the small side other wise hotel and Breakfast good. Shock was 4€ for parking! Nowhere else to park but in hotel grounds as the hotel is off the beaten track, not mentioned in booking."
