"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

"We found the property clean but lacking, certainly not "Superb". The decor was sparse e.g. bare light bulbs. Negatives Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three. Kitchen: Two sets of knives & forks for three, no large glasses or wine glasses, no fire blanket/extinguisher, no downstairs smoke alarm I could spot. "The property itself was excellent. Very clean and spacious. Plenty of room for six of us and everything we needed was sipplied. It is the middle of the town centre and the beach was only a couple of minutes walk away. Railway station is five minutes walk, and the buses stop directly outside. At the time of our visit tha High Street outside was being modernised. It was quiet for us as it was a bank holiday weekend so no work was taking place. "Lovely beer garden with the option to eat meals in the beer garden Parking was a bit hit and miss as there are a lot of rooms and not a lot of parking spaces Staff were very friendly and meals very good Accommodation was very comfortable and rooms were quiet Highly recommended"

"Lovely spacious room in the cottage. Everything was catered for. Options for breakfast and dinner. We had a lovely sitting outside area which was handy on one of the hottest days. We parked in the long stay car park but then the lady on reception informed us that after 5pm the street was quieter and we managed to park our car nearby. "
