"Having stayed at a couple of Mecures this one felt in need of an upgrade to the rooms. Staff were friendly and it was just a base for one night."

"My rooms windows were triple glazed, unfortunately the window catches were missing so the didn’t close. My room was right next to a busy road. Not only this there was a loud wedding party which went on till 12.30am. I picked the hotel because it was a spa hotel with a gym. On arrival you were required to register online for the facilities but the protocol was too difficult to do and because of this they wanted me to pay £10 for the gym each time- not helpful in the slightest. They said they couldn’t move me as hotel was full, but it clearly was not. They refused cash but there were NO signs to say this anywhere in hotel or online. Bar staff were really rude when I wanted to pay in cash. I had booked for two nights as I was due to teach in Shrewsbury. I got 90 minutes sleep the first night and checked out the next morning. On the plus side when I complained about my issues they did refund me."

"This is the third time I've stayed here and honestly every time it gets worse. The hotel is beautiful and the location convinient. But thats all.... I came down for breakfast at 9am (breakfast is surved until 10am) and there was barely anything left, no joices, no milk couple of slices of bread,no tea bags. And there was a table reserved for 20 people so they knew that they had a lot of people coming for breakfast still. I was sat down for 30 minutes at no point did they bring anything new out. And the quality of the food was not great either... "

"We went past this hotel a few times trying to find it. No one had informed us that the hotel had changed it name. It was only the fact that the satnav lead us there and went into see if I had the right place. There seemed to be a communication lacking between hotel.com and the hotel"
