"The apartment at The Ivy is a wonderful "home away from home" . The location is perfect as it is on the main road where you can shop, eat & browse. The apartment is serviced every day & the staff are unobtrusive , giving you time to laze around in the morning before they come. This property would probably have earned 5 stars , if not for 2 minor downfalls : 1. There are no flat/top sheets on the beds. Given the heat of Franschhoek, it would be great to have the option of only covering oneself with a sheet; 2. The apartment which we had stayed in window blinds are not easy to open & close. The one blind to the balcony couldn't close & the light from the signage outside "The Ivy" shines rights into the Main bedroom. I think that even with the blinds closed, it would still shine through. Overall though, this a fantastic property choice for a weekend away or even for tourists. It is tastefully furnished & the owners have definitely thought of almost everything ."

"As a foreigner in South Africa it was an excellent last day at this wonderful location. It is only an hour from the airport, but safe and incredibly picturesque. It is small and surrounded by a wonderful garden, secure parking, rustic but absolutely sufficient amenities and a great breakfast by a wonderful fireplace next to a little library full of good books. Canโ€™t think about anything else Iโ€™d want."
