"Staff were very welcoming and a lovely spacious room. There was a cobweb on one of the posts on the bed, but the rest of the property was reasonably clean. Bedding wasn’t the most comfortable, but the bed was. The plugs in the bathroom were slightly annoying, but overall it was a lovely stay, a very nice bar area, and great staff."

"We had a lovely one night stay,room was very clean and bed very comfortable, shower was lovely and warm.Breakfast was good, my partner had the cooked I had the continental, would have liked cornflakes not keen on Weetabix but Croissants were very fresh and nice to have fruit.Think our only gripe was had to walk round to find a member of staff to book us in and again no one around to check us out but great place for the price."

"Lovely spacious, clean & comfortable apartment in excellent location few minutes walk to Wells & shops. Good place to stay for exploring other attractions around the area, Cheddar Gorge, Haynes Motor Museum, Bath, etc. I would highly recommend especially for a couple. Not suitable for wheelchair bound or those who have difficulty with stairs as it is situated on the fourth floor with four flights of stairs to climb."

"A 3-star hotel / bed-and-breakfast - very personal, friendly service. The hotel is visited daily by locals buying newspapers. All meals cooked to order, including breakfast - a nice change to the usual experience in hotels nowadays. We turned up at about 4.30pm to find opening time was 5pm - we must have missed this in the instructions. The hotel was open promptly at 5 pm however. On the Sunday the bar closed at 5pm so dinner had to be elsewhere - not a problem for us as we always tend to have a meal in the hotel on the first night, then try other restaurants elsewhere. The owner told us about the history of the hotel - they have been there for around 26 years. All in all, a very relaxed, personal atmosphere, a nice change from the usual hotel experience."
