"Mapakada Village is a beautiful hotel, tucked away from the regular tourist route - but it’s well worth heading here. It’s set against a stunning lake, where you can do various activities and wildlife spotting. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I’d especially recommend the superior double, which looks out to the lake and the pool. We actually stayed at Mapakada Village a little by accident, during a storm - and we were so looked after, especially by Dinesh. He went above and beyond to help get us back to Negombo in time for our flight, actually driving us several hours himself, which was incredibly kind. Staying here for a couple of nights was exactly what we needed. Thanks so much!"

"Hotel had no record that we were coming. Room wasn't ready. No restaurant as advertised. No food available. Not even drinks. No lock on accessible balcony door. Not a good area which was reflected by the high gates and padlocks. Did not even check in. Left immediately. "

"The biggest thing that strikes you is the lovely stunning environment and very villa as its gated with 24 hours security. We felt at home. The two caretakers are simply warm helpful and very professional. The neighbours were helpful . I had such a wonderful stay! 🌟 The space itself was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. I felt a warm welcome upon arrival, which instantly made me feel at home. The stunning surroundings were the perfect for a relaxing stay, and every detail was taken care of and clean lovely showers clean.The wall hangings decor amazing.
