"Perfect hotel for a short city break exploring York. No frills but definitely a cut above the usual budget hotels. Comfortable and clean with pleasant friendly staff. Rooms modern and appearing to be recently refurbished. All Yorks attractions are within easy walking distance so park the car and forget about it. Parking is offsite and a 6 minute walk but secure and hassle free with Q-Park. There’s also a discount code available from the hotel when booking. Finally, the inclusion of a buffet breakfast is a nice bonus when other/similar hotels are charging for theirs. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel. "

"I have stayed here a few times and will keep coming back with friends and solo. The rooms, common areas and spa facilities are always spotless. The food (albeit more on the expensive side) is delicious and fresh. Room service is available or dine in restaurant options. Most rooms (if not all) come with a shower and bath, with The White Company toiletries for use during the stay. All the staff have 5* customer service, whether it be front desk, breakfast waiters or cleaning staff. The hotel itself is private and tucked away from busy Leeds and makes a perfect escape. It is easily accessed by car and especially by bus making it low budget transport option if traveling from within Leeds. I always book 1 night but truly it is never enough to indulge in the hotel. I would prefer having more of a tapas style breakfast rather than only 1 main plate and unlimited starters. Options to have several main plates per person would be good as they are small. Cheaper food prices and a larger room service menu with again more tapas style options would go down a treat. "

"The property is very close to the on-off bus which we really enjoyed. It is close to the York Museum which is absolutely a must see. We walked a lot in York and found our location to be acceptable. If you are not a big “walker”, then you might want to stay closer to the center. The hotel was great. The breakfast was very good. The valet attendants were friendly. Valet parking is kind of pricey but pretty average for our experience in the UK. Room was comfortable and clean. Would recommend this hotel. "

"An older hotel but very comfortable, room was good size and it was walkable to town center. One issue was that lobby is not at street level, requires climbing about 6 stairs to reach lobby."

"This property was absolutely perfect for what we wanted, it was minutes from everything in york, the views were immense from the roof top bar and didnt dissapoint! The breakfast was delicious aand plenty of. Everything was always re stocked and the staff were more than attentive. The malmaison is quirky bold and bright. The only thing i could say as a negative was the lighting in our room wasnt great when trying to get ready for an evening. "

"Really great stay. We love the hotel indigo in York having stayed there a few times in the past. We weren't disappointed this time and everything was perfect. The staff were lovely and the room really nice. Rachel also arranged for us to have the romance package as it was our 30th wedding anniversary. Couldn't have asked for more. "

"Lovely stay as a family of 4, large room, fabulous facilities and a wonderful breakfast which everyone enjoyed. 20 minutes straight road walk in to York and the kids loved the garden in the evening whilst we could sit on the terrace."

"Great location and hotel. Great service and friendly staff. Bar has happy hour early evening so convenient and value. Have parking facilities a great bonus . Also have some EV charging points."
