"1. I didn’t know the facility was a pet-friendly motel. This wouldn’t have been a problem except that we found dog hair in the corners of our room. We were able to have housekeeping come and sweep the floors. 2. The mattresses are secured to the base of the bed. So if you move, the mattress moves and you have to push it back so that it’s flush with the base."

"Great property. Breakfast on the wrap around porch overlooking the harbor was lovely. Close to botanical gardens which were a highlight. Nice dining options."

"Our room was ok. The bathroom was in need of repair and could have been cleaner but not gross. Mirror was dirty and the sink top has peices of paint on it from the peeling ceiling. The wall paper was coming off the wall as well.The pool area was not desirable in appearance. Needs some TLC rust everywhere where and peeling paint. The fitness room was excellent and well maintained as well as the lobby. Loved the 24 hour coffee and tea bar and Lemon water. The breakfast was really good lots of greatchoices. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast room staff was rude and on her phone but it was clean and well maintained. Not the best Ive stayed but not the worst."

"Property is being updated. Breakfast was great. Hot products served. Clean Property. Staff were kind. Plenty of parking. Quiet. Great location. Dog friendly with wonderful walking trails next door. Pool looked super nice and well kept. Too cold to enjoy. Stayed in October. The room was clean, however, wasn't quite finished being updated. Shower was still old and shower curtain was tattered. Chairs were stained. Still had old smell. Overall, a nice Property. Renovation is looking great."

"This was my fourth year staying at the Midtown Motel. I love it here, close to all that Boothbay Harbor has to offer, yet very peaceful and quiet. Yes, the motel is a very old fashioned property reminiscent of the the 1950's Era, but this only adds to it's charm! I hope the new owners keep it much the same as they venture forward, as so many historical inns and hotels are being bought up and completely overhauled, and their pricing reflects that. The rooms are very clean, and the staff are very personable and caring for the comfort of their guests. I definitely would recommend the Midtown to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy downtown area."

"The room was very well priced. The hotel is a clean, well lighted place very convenient to multiple attractions on the coast. It is nothing special, but it fit our budget and I would definitely stay there again."
