The experience was wonderful. Beautiful room and helpful and friendly staff.We stayed here last eight years ago, and again it was a wonderful experience. With one exception. On our last visit, dinner and breakfast were truly exceptional, attentive staff and delicious food served in an atmosphere of quiet elegance. The staff are still wonderful and the food is exceptional. But now there is an extremely noisy bar with excessively loud music which made conversation very difficult.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Du Pont. The room was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant provided two delicious meals. Our only suggestion to make a great stay even better is to add a pillow top to the less-than-comfy mattress. We will definitely be back.

Old school charm!

Wonderful experience! The Hotel DuPont is a lovely hotel that harkens back to the Gilded Age! Very well maintained with a friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is very good (and elegant) and it is walking distance to all the fun bars and restaurants on Market Street.

This is not a 5-star hotel!

This hotel has long since passed its prime! It's probably the only so-called 5-star hotel that charges $437.90(incidentals) for a single night's stay! What a scandal!

The property was overpriced given the condition of the bathroom. It had not been updated since the 80s. Plus the maid staff was not as professional as you want when staying in a $600 plus a night hotel.

Manager was an absolute nasty person. When my room key didn’t work I went main desk was politely telling a desk worker the key wasn’t working and she was helping. The manager I believe Liesha came out and waved her hand at me like I was dog. I asked if I did something wrong and she began berating me in public saying I talked to her staff badly. I did not the clerk was nice and i was nice back. The manger was nasty rude and would not stop then walked away slaming a wall door behind the counter. Ruined my trip….and night. Sad indeed.
