"Lovely location with Wooky Holes on the doorstep of the Hotel.
Room was basic but clean and had everything you'd want fir an overnight stay.
Lovely grounds for a walk.
Only negative was bath taps had hot water, but the shower had only had cold water. The mixer thermostat was obviously faulty. Talking to other guests, this seemed to be a common fault as others said their shower only had cold water too."
"Parking was great at the hotel. Couldn’t fault anything, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced
All in all we really enjoyed our two night stay"
"Really comfortable stay in this hotel. The room was immaculate and well furnished. We particularly enjoyed the bath and what looked like new carpet and furnishings."
"Stayed in a Spa Suite, which was disappointing.
Came with a Jacuzzi, Plunge & Sauna, which were all in a rear Courtyard.
The rear Courtyard was covered in bird poo, so walking to either the Jacuzzi, Plunge or Sauna was like playing Twister!
Outside seating cushions were either damp, mouldy or covered in bird poo!
It’s clear that external housekeeping is lacking as are any form of spot checks by management.
Cobwebs & leaves galore too!
Some furniture needs renewing such as the Egg Seat in the rear Courtyard, which was very rusty & staining the patio.
The actual Spa was very good as were the Spa Treatments.
The atmosphere, food & vibe of the Hotel was excellent; frustratingly our mains were missed & we had to wait over an hour though!
Overall, it didn’t meet our expectations, but so easily could’ve if managed a little differently i.e with attention to detail.
Could be an absolute gem…"
