"Lovely b&b just minutes away from the heart of Bath. The staff were lovely and our room was spacious and super comfortable. We even had air conditioning! Breakfast in the morning had a wide selection and was good. I would highly recommend!"

Best Western Shaftesbury The Royal Chase Hotel

"Really dated and tierd but staff making best of what they have. We visited in a heatwave so perhaps not a true reflection but was stifling. No air con. A small broken (span but didnt move side to side)fan provided that pushed the warm air around and the next morning fans had been put in the corridor. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast staff a bit abrupt but again perhaps the heat! We booked for a short stay and the surrounding countryside and shaftesbury Town are lovely. The hotel is situated on the main road although still quiet and lovely garden etc. Gpod location for the town etc Unfortunately the pool area is not nice. Changing rooms really dirty and the pool water really cloudy and murky- the main reason we chose the hotel was for the pool. All in all was fine for an overnight stay and room was clean. Just a bit old fashioned and dated for us and the pool area need some attention"

"Lovely hotel in beautiful countryside. Room was lovely, no air con but they gave us a good fan. The television is positioned on the side and as we had a 4 poster it was difficult to watch?! Carpets are very thin everywhere and could definitely do with being replaced. Breakfast was ok, good full English but the juice and fruit selection was very poor WiFi was fast and free on site parking Good value for money and have booked again for our trip later in the summer"

"A chain pub, that needs a litte updating. Its on a crossroads with traffic lights. There is plenty of parking.The room was ok, bed comfy with clean sheets. The bathroom could do with a revamp but was perfectly adequate. Continental Breakfast included which literally consisted of cornflakes and white bread for toast with tea or coffee. We had a cooked breakfast which was good. Dining room felt it needed a good clean as tables sticky! I felt it needed a womans touch as would enhance the area. Overall for what we paid on a Bank Holiday weekend it was ok. "

Best Western Plus Centurion Hotel

8/10 Good

"Clean rooms in an updated older hotel. My only complaint was the lack of air conditioning, as it was unusually hot when we visited. There was a small fan provided, but it did little to cool the room. We felt unsafe leaving the window open because we were on the ground level and it would have been easy for anyone to climb right into our room. The water pressure in the shower was fabulous. Staff was very friendly."
