Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Pub is convenient for meals or a pint. Easy drive to Heathrow airport. Lighting in room could be better but overall we had a nice, one night stay.

What a lovely gem. The rooms were so lovely warm, cosy and clean. We enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast when we arrived and then a lovely full English breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend and look forward to returning. The staff were also nice and welcoming.

This is such an outstanding pub run by Collin the Landlord. The staff are professional and welcoming. We were shown to our rooms at the back which were very quiet and had a small garden terrace outside which was private. Spotless room. The bed was super comfy and great pillows. Nice to have plenty of coffee and a Nespresso machine and a kettle. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and delicious, being all home made. A small detail were the hot plates the hot food was served on, so often overlooked. We will definately be back. Anyone visiting Windsor would find here an excellent base and only around 15 minutes away. Taxi to Windsor is around £17. Uber would also be available, possible cheaper.

Fabulous!!
The Winning Post is delightful! The newly renovated rooms are fabulous. We are previous guests, and always enjoy this Hotel. The new menu is delicious, we would stay just for the food. The staff are very attentive and all together its a lovely stay, always too short.

Good location. Super food and service at the venue in the evening. The breakfast service on the Saturday wasn’t great though. The room was comfortable but the hot water supply could be improved. I am sure we will use this venue again in the future.

Charming country inn
We stayed at the winning post for a family wedding in the village. The rooms are cosy and had a lot of amenities like Dyson fan, DAB radio, wireless charging points etc. very well stocked. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, food and drinks in the hotel were excellent. Would stay again.

Propery was vey nice, good parking, room was good. But not very clean, don’t think the radiator had been cleaned this year. Bar staff very good. Average costs per night was 204.00, no breakfast included. Seems not matter what site this hotel is booked or what price, breakfast never include. Restaurant staff said they had a power cut in the kitchen, so could only do bar snacks, yet still did some hot tapas type food, didn’t ring true. Breakfast was nice, but only 1 person on & we had to ask for everything, cutlery, coffee milk, it wasn’t that busy, should have been another person on, it was like she didn’t want to do the job. However breakfast was very nice & came quickly. Ceiling in the bar /main area low, which added to the decor, but tall people be aware.

The rooms we stayed in, were right out the front, and they were lovely, very spacious, well equipped, couldn’t hear any noises other than cars leaving the car park. The beds were comfy, the shower was brilliant, the only thing wrong with the room was when you turned the taps on the sink, it made a loud groan, like moaning myrtle was right there with you! The only issue we had with the place was on the morning of check out, we went for breakfast, and honestly could not have been made to feel any more unwelcome, the server was very very rude, I would guess potentially she thought she was going to have a quiet morning and 2 of us having breakfast completely ruined that idea for her. Other than that, would 100% recommend staying here.

Cozy country accommodation with great service and food. We felt our room and bathroom could do with a really thorough super clean at some point as although all the bedding was clean and comfortable, the floor and windows needed a good clean

I can’t imagine a more charming English pub/restaurant/B&B combination. About a 20 pound Uber ride from Windsor castle, it was well worth paying. room was clean and comfortable, food options were good.

We were relocated
Unfortunately we we unable to stay at the property hence the rating so please don’t let this be reflected. We arrived at 20:00 Approx after I had checked in online earlier in the day.to be told when we had been relocated to another hotel down the road the owner had paid for our breakfast as well.we did eat at the WP lovely food. Shame we didn’t stay there as I had booked it in Dec 2022. I would say it looked a great place. I understand it is the locals place to go to very busy and vibrant. It would have been nicer if we had been told earlier in the day and the decision for us to make if we had wanted to return home . Whilst I can not fault the owner of the WP to provide us with alternative accommodation a very short distance was very nice it would have been better if they had contacted us earlier and not at 20:00 5 minutes before we arrived …!

The room was fine. Unfortunately the neighbours were loud enough and expressing upset and anger enough during the night for my son and I to feel vulnerable and unsure what to do. It was at this point I discovered that the rooms' phone was not working and that I didn't have a phone number of anyone on site to contact in-case of help etc. Obviously I had my own mobile phone but the service was not very strong and so if I had needed help this could of potentially been a tricky situation. This unfortunately made our stay very uncomfortable.

Has great potential. Staff are terrific location excellent. Has been top notch but starting to look tired in bedrooms, bathrooms, stair wells, and doorframes. Food was good No EV Charging facilities or ability to use a trickle charge. Big issue when you come from Manchester or over 150 miles away

What a lovely pub and hotel. Had a fantastic stay here this weekend. We loved the comfortable bed and extras- such as the coffee machine. Plenty of space a a really nice bath with shower. Excellent location for Windsor.

Very welcoming.
We had a very friendly welcome. The room was lovely. Facilities very good. Shower, super powerful!! We were welcomed by the locals as well at their jubilee party celebration barbecue and lovely food. Only downside was we had an adjoining room to someone else and the soundproofing was minimal and they were rather amorous until the early hours!! A bit more sound proofing may be useful.

Really enjoyed our stay. Some staffvery friendly and helpful than others but no complaints from us. Enjoyed breakfast at reasonable extra cost. Great room facilities with comfy beds, soft towels, plenty of toiletries with large bottles including hand lotion. Small cafetière for 1 although double room. Lovely filter coffee as well as pod machine. Also instant coffee and wide range of teas
