"Prices were very low and safe. There is a fast food restaurant nearby, which is convenient. Note that there was shampoo and soap, but no amenities such as hairdryers or toothbrushes. No air-conditioning, which can be a bit painful in hot weather. Heat can easily build up. Also, note that this is an accommodation for international students who stay here for more than a few months, and it is rare to find a guest like me on Expedia who only stays for 3-4 days and uses it like a hotel. "First of all it could not be found. My sat nav couldn't find it. Varney Rd did not have a street sign and I don't think 44 actually exists. It took over 1 hour to locate this den. The key lockbox is situated on a wall, unmarked, and with all adjacent doors un numbered, on what can only be described as wasteland behind some shops. Once I located the keys (2) I brought my car around to park on this wasteland and was met by a couple of males getting their 'ladies' ready for work. The doors in this...

Leonardo Hotel Nottingham

8/10 Good

"At first the room seemed fine. We then noticed something strange hanging from one of the bedside lampshades. Contacted reception, someone came up straight away and cleaned it. However, later we noticed other remains under the edge of the bed. We were then changed to another room. Everything was fine after this. The staff were very helpful, especially Jake."

Lace Market Hotel

8/10 Good

"Good option for one night's stay, we had a Deluxe King room which was a decent size with a very comfortable enormous bed. The bathroom was drab and dated but a good size and perfectly functional. There was, however, a musty smell in the room and there was no way to open the windows in either the bathroom or bedroom to air the place which was frustrating. I would not want to be here in the summer as there was only a working desk fan and disconnected/not working ceiling fan."

Leonardo Hotel Derby

10/10 Excellent

"Staff were amazing and very helpful. Had the room ready for us at 12.30 because they knew how busy it was going to be they wanted all rooms ready. They even brought a travel cot to the room for us after requesting only 5 minutes earlier. Right in the centre. Very good price for where it was located. Parking also good but gets very busy quickly so would recommend getting there before check in."
