The staff, and view were 5 stars! The bathtub was dirty and rooms are outdated. No one door dashes or delivers we had to drive 18min one way for Dominos pizza. But the other two (staff and view) make up for the rest!

The manager is incredibly friendly and caring. The hotel is just about the most dog-friendly spot you can stay at. They provide you with a Coleman dog bed, treats, a few poop bags, and a bowl. They also have more than enough grass space to sniff around and clear the pipes. The rooms have been updated and are clean. They offer apples and store donuts with coffee every morning. The beach is maybe a 50 foot walk from the hotel rooms and provides great views. Really, the only think that the property could benefit from are more comfortable beds and pillows. We would stay here again for sure.

This property is exactly as advertised. It’s a quaint motel steeped in history with upgrades that offer some modern conveniences. If you appreciate accommodations steeped in history, this is the place for you. The best thing is Team Tillicum Beach Motel. Hands-on owners Chad and Emily, and support team…Josh, Janice, Kim and others. Easy access to the beach in front of the motel, other local beaches, the towns of Yachats, Florence and Waldport make this an ideal spot for bumbling from adventure after adventure on the Central Oregon Coast.

What a gem
Very cozy and comfortable quaint motel right on the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed in #1 and really enjoyed the two separate rooms so our daughter could have one to herself while we watched one of the movies you can borrow from the motel lobby. Great stay, we will definitely be back.

Great escape with our small dogs, easy to find, great and friendly staff. Only issue we had was that it took a really long time to get hot water for a shower. Will definitely stay here again.

This place takes you back in time! Nice property-walk out back down the stairs - great beach (you can walk to Yachats) . Staff very friendly! Rooms are clean! My only negative = mattress gets a 2 out of 4 and the pillows get a zero! Because I am a spoiled American.

Sweet, well-appointed spot on the beach
Friendly, helpful staff and management, and a very nice, spacious room. Great place to come with a dog, and the location really can't be beat. We'd definitely come back! The bathroom was spacious and had an effective heater. Plenty of hot water. My room had a fridge and a microwave. My only hesitations: Something used to clean the floors made them a bit slippery and sticky, and I would have liked more effective window coverings to block out the sunshine. Otherwise, really wonderful. We will be back!

This was a wonderful stay! The lobby & room were so cozy and warm. The room was clean and bright and had everything we needed including movies and games to borrow from the lobby which really made the experience so nice. Off season gem
Great one night stay just before Thanksgiving. Good rate for a sunday night, very friendly staff and just a minute to the beach. Great back yard off of rooms, picnic tables grills and a huge fire pit that must be great during the summer but it was flooded out when ww were there. Just a fewminutes to Yachats for good dining and drinks. We loved it!

The view from our room is gorgeous & private. We felt comfortable sleeping with the curtains open all night, even on the bottom floor. That being said, the room itself is mostly clean if you didn’t look too closely at the walls. The couch is pretty gross Also, the entire closet was taken out, so there was nowhere to hang up clothes. My biggest issue is being under a room where people are stomping around like elephants shaking our entire room beneath them. I would have made sure I was on the top floor had I known. We’ve been traveling down the coast for days & this is the first time we’ve had to deal with insanely heavy walkers in the room above. There wasn’t a lot of people staying here last night & it would have been thoughtful to space out rooms so customers wouldn’t have to deal with this. This instance alone is enough to deter me from staying here in the future. That being said, the front desk clerk was nice & there’s an indoor pool, jacuzzi & sauna on premise for customer use - which is a cool feature.

Not fancy BUT for a truly dog friendly coastal roadside motel it was great! Very nice staff welcoming to dogs. Each room had a back door out to a huge lawn. Very convenient for taking dogs out. The grounds were great for a happy dog to run around and had access to a large beach. Rooms were cozy, clean and tidy. Will definitely go again with my pup.

Front desk guy was smug and rude. The place was not even a quarter full and would not allow for a late check out. The room was pretty bare bones. On a summer day and in a good mood, I may have called it old school and quaint, but after the rude, check-in it just seemed cold and unwelcoming.

We apologies that you felt unwelcome Timothy at check-in and I will review the camera footage and address any issues promptly. However, I am a little perplexed as I see you added a night to your original night stay and did check-out after our 11:00 am standard check-out time that you agreed to when booking the reservation. As to the amount of perceived arability at check-in and the availability for a guest to check-out one doesn't really have anything to do with the other. You were checking out on a Friday morning, and we were full for the weekend. As we only had a few rooms checking out that morning it has more to do with it not being cost effective for us to have a housekeeper waiting for you to depart or not having the time to clean the room before the scheduled arrival of our next guest. We do hope you enjoyed your stay though it wasn't a summer day.
