"The rooms and facilities are beautiful and the staff very generous with their time and very friendly. The rooms are very nicely appointed and the views stunning. We had a private monkey and sloth tour, which was really cool. The downsides are that the lodge is isolated so you are a captive audience for an absurdly expensive menu for lunch and dinner. In addition, the lobby can be up to a 10 minute walk up and down a lot of steps from your bungalow, making it a small trek every time you want to get to the lobby. It's very expensive by Nica standards overall and, while beautiful, don't expect an "authentic" experience. "

"Always part of my assessment is value for the money paid. We had a choice and took the third floor. We had a million dollar view and the furniture on the outside deck on all the floors encourages you to sit outside. The room was comfortable. We had a bar fridge that kept the beer icy cold. "Not the hotels fault, but that road leading to the hotel sucks it’s really bad and i was in a pickup truck . Very bumpy and wild. Not fun at all . Hotel is 2 stars at best. However staff was great 5 stars to them , very attentive and courteous . They did the best they could to make us happy and that made a big difference . "
