"The room had a very strange chemical smell to it as did the dishes. We booked a room on hotels.com for five people, but the room only had beds for four people to rectify the situation. They recommended we book an additional room. The indoor swimming pool closed at 9 PM, which did not give us time to eat dinner and get to the pool. Also, we checked in at 7:30 PM and the restaurant closed at eight again we could not get there in time for dinner."

Cons: Long wait to be seated at breakfast and then had to leave because no one came to take our order for ten minutes. Limited food choices. Got food at the quick market one day. Food was lackluster but staff very nice. "

"Property was dated. Though the rooms were clean, the paint was chipped in a lot of places. I saw a front desk person on Friday when I checked in, but Saturday and Sunday for the front desk you had to go over to the Redroof Inn. Breakfast was lacking. Bread and mini muffins, cereal, and apples. I would not recommend this place. "

"Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Air conditioning work very good. Shower unit could use some corner shelves to put soap, shampoo, and other toiletries. "

"I'm going to start with the one (and only!) suggestion I have for the property for improvement. Everything about our unit was great, except for the walk-in shower in the master bathroom. The shower head was of the older style water-saver type - very little water pressure and a low volume of water. In that big shower booth, that shower head did not produce enough water to make it a comfortable experience. The parts of you that are in the weak hot water stream can stay warm, while the rest of you is freezing because you're standing in the cool air. Also, someone with thick or long hair will have a hard time washing their hair in that shower. There are modern water-saver shower heads that do way better than this one did. Otherwise, the unit was wonderful and we had an enjoyable stay. Kitchen was modern and stocked with all the basics. Advice: If you're a coffee drinker, there is a full-size drip coffeemaker in the unit, but the provided coffee and supplies are basic hotel stuff. Recommend bringing your own coffee if you savor your cuppa. Tea drinkers will want to bring their own tea and a kettle. There is a grocery store about three miles down the road that should have anything you need. Building is in a quiet area - trains do rumble through occasionally, but they're quick. You can also faintly hear Busch Gardens. It's about a 10 minute drive to Busch, and 10-15 minute drive to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center. 5 stars, highly recommend! Thank you Parkside! "
