"This accommodation is mixed good and bad. There are a few things that I was very happy with! It is only about a 5 minute walk from Yugawara JR station, the room itself was very nice (we booked a traditional Japanese style room) and in it there were hot water facilities for tea, private bathroom, AC and TV. "We Americans stayed here for 2 nights. Highly recommended. Great cultural experience for those looking for an authentic ryokan in an older style building with communal bathing facilities. Japanese breakfast was really fun but I had little idea what I was eating. Go with an open mind! I was glad there were a couple of very helpful staff who spoke some English. "The hotel is up a steep sloping street and in a quiet area. It has a traditional feel and the cafe is really nice and the hot springs, however there is no view, unless you pay for the private baths upstairs. "We loved this place. An older property but very traditional interior with a wonderful bathing area. The views are just incredible. You can wake up with an amazing sunrise over the ocean with the best vantage point in town. But the best part of this place is the host. From when we arrived the upbeat, positive energy of the host was amazing; she didn’t miss a beat and was incredibly helpful even though we didn’t speak each others language.
