We rented the Junior Suite for a Family of 5, as is common in many parts of Asia, the room size was smaller when compared to Western hotel standards, but the layout was extremely efficient and well planned. The room included all the necessary amenities, made excellent use of space, and was comfortable, clean, and convenient. A great plus for traveling families is the In-Room washer/dryer. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a great example of thoughtful hotel design in a compact space.

LOVED staying at this MIMARU in Kyoto! Location was great (about an 8 minute walk to the subway and right next to a family mart and even a grocery store 5 minute walk away). Front desk was very helpful and courteous, room was spacious and clean. We were traveling as a family of four with two boys, ages 10 and 13, and we have already recommended this hotel to friends entertaining the idea of a Japan vacation!
