Very new and clean. Simple bagel breakfast, but I’m ok with that. Unique rockers in common areas. No pool, but a bit cheaper than other hotels.

The only complaint is that we were there from Thursday to Sunday, and no one came in change sheets. The people at the counter were friendly and the building was great though.

The two things that stopped this property from getting a higher rating was the charge for early check in and the thin walls. We could hear the guest in the next room.

Pleasantly clean and quiet

A lovely room: clean, quiet, and spacious. Amenities are basic, but everything I needed for a comfortable stay was provided. It seems the simplicity allows them to focus on what really matters. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t try the breakfast. It appeared to be limited to bagels and cold cereal, with no eggs or hot options, but that was fine by us. When traveling, I generally prefer to grab something after being on the road for a bit anyway. I would recommend Spark if you’re staying in Merrillville.

My bedding smelled like women’s perfume which made my linens seem less than clean. Also, the linens were a synthetic material vs cotton, which I don’t like.

I thought the stay was average. I was very disappointed that there was no hot water to shower, the thermostat was not working properly so the heat would nit stay on and the lack of tvchannels.

Staff very friendly and helpful! All needs were met and beyond expectation. Room and facility were very clean and modernly decorated. Location was well placed. Breakfast was a nicely presented continental offering. I was pleased with the price for a Hilton stay. Absolutely would stay again.

We booked a handi cap room through expedia. When we arrived, that room was already occupied. YOU NEED TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT SUCH BOOKINGS TO MAKE SURE THAT ROOM IS AVAILABLE!!! WE WILL NOT BOOK A ROOM THROUGH EXPEDIA AGAIN!!!

Very good area to stay in. Rooms look a little ghetto but the bed is comfortable, no bed bugs, and AC works great. Breakfast sucked with only expired oat milk, watered down apple juice, and bagels for your 1st meal of the day. Staff were amazing tho and super friendly/helpful. Good area for those looking to hike Indiana Dunes National/State Park.
