Simple hotel well located in Barcelona but could do with a renovation of the room. Careful about getting 2 beds instead of a full size one.

Great Location

Location! This Hotel is right in the heart of everything you want to do! The staff were very friendly and hotel was clean with good water pressure. It is just a basic place but as a solo traveler it met my needs, a place to sleep, steps from some great restaurants, historic sites and Metro. I will definitely stay here again.

For me as long as the place has a good location, super clean and super hot shower I will be a very satisfied customer. This hotel offered me all of that so I am rating this stay 10/10 !

I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Catalunya. Its location is central to the pedestrian street Avingula Port San Angel. It is 5 minutes walk to Cathedral de Barcelona and Plaza Catalunya in the other direction. Despite its size, the hotel has an elevator and the rooms are moderate size with clean updated bathrooms. Housekeeping is excellent and staff are helpful and friendly.

Nice small hotel

Nice small hotel just off La Rambla and close to Plaça de Catalunya (for airport bus). There are no tea/coffee making facilities or bottled water in the room so buy your own. There is a fridge, television and hairdryer.

Good, low-cost option

The room was small but comfortable and clean. Bathroom was very clean. Room was on the back of the building so the street noise was avoided. The service was excellent. The staff on the desk were extremely helpful. They stored our luggage in a locked room and secured a taxi for us. I would recommend the hotel as a good, low-cost option.

Room was tiny but all i really needed... bathroom was even smaller which was not very convenient. They charge for the safe per day which is pretty wack... on the positive side, it was right in the middle of everything and staff was friendly and had AC.
