Lovely apartment very convenient for the old town, restaurants and bars. Beach 5 mins walk. No parking close to the apartment, but a reasonably priced carpark 20 mins walk away. I wouls stay there again.

Good location but average stay

The location is very convenient and the room had plenty of room. It felt a bit more like an apartment than a boutique hotel, and I found the overall decor in need of some TLC as the walls needed a new paint job, couple light switches needed repair, and the rain shower head in fell while I was showering, which was certainly surprising. But the water pressure was excellent. Maybe too strong for the pipes :P the wooden shutters were excellent for blacking out the room, but the bed was maybe just a touch too firm with very firm pillows as well. This made it tricky because the most difficult part of the room is that you can hear everything. I’m not sound sensitive while sleeping, but the door and walls really seem very thin. The toilet and pipes were constantly making noises, and I could hear everyone’s comings and goings. And this wasn’t anyone being loud or drunk. Just opening/closing doors, walking etc. But because the pillows are quite heavy and firm, it was difficult to put one over my head and keep it in place to block out the sound.

Our corner Deluxe bedroom (Room8) with 3 amazing windows was amazing. Bed was very comfortable the decor was very authentic. However the shower area does need to be replaced. All the reception and cleaning staff we met were very polite and helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending Luces de Catedral.

No wifi and lift worked twice in our stay (did not work on arrival and when we left and we had extremely heavy bags). Cleaner only made the bed and put the towels away, did not clean the kitchen. Location was excellent and the condition of the property was good.

If I return Alicante this is not definitely a hotel I will book. The hotel itself was not bad — clean, comfortable, and the housekeeping service was nice. However, the parking information provided was incorrect, which caused unnecessary delay and stress upon arrival. It would be very helpful if the hotel could update the parking details to avoid confusion for future guests. Si vuelvo a Alicante, definitivamente no reservaré este hotel. El hotel en sí no estaba mal: limpio, cómodo y el servicio de limpieza era bueno. Sin embargo, la información del aparcamiento era incorrecta, lo que causó retrasos innecesarios y estrés a la llegada. Sería muy útil que el hotel actualizara la información del aparcamiento para evitar confusiones a futuros huéspedes.

The hotel is very centrally located and check in was easy. I checked in after hours (the front desk is only open for certain hours) so plan ahead of time and it’s stress free. The directions they provide are very straight forward and accurate. The room had huge windows and internal shutters that blocked out light and helped to block out some of the street noise. As this is a very central location do expect some noise. We happened to be there when the entire city was celebrating a holiday near the end of June and you could hear a lot of the festivities but any other time I’m sure it’s a lot quieter. All in all if I came back I would stay here again!
