We just stayed at this delightful hotel. We loved the common areas, they felt really special. The breakfast was great and the dining area felt like a step back in time to a "fancy" era. We had dinner at the adjacent restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Bonus that the hotel was pet friendly and had an elevator.

Check-in was straightforward when we arrived on Friday evening, right at 7 pm. Dorothy, at the hotel front counter, was delightful and made us feel at home. The room was small, with no microwave or refrigerator, but there is a coffee maker in the room. The first thing I realized after I made my reservation, is that there is a Condon Motel and a Hotel Condon. I can't speak for the motel, but the Hotel is from an earlier time, when amenities were more communal. Many reviews said that there wasn't much available in the way of food in the area, so I prepared much of my own, for my husband and I, in the way of sandwiches and microwavable dishes, because there is a microwave and a refrigerator on the 2nd floor. I stored my food in the fridge and retrieved what I needed daily, and it worked out great. In fact, besides the excellent Continental breakfast, there is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel, which appeared to be open for dinner, Friday , Saturday & Sunday and a Powell's Bookstore across the street, advertising some eatables. Also, there's a classic drive-in a couple blocks away with hamburgers, fries and shakes, which is closed on Sundays. The service there was lovely, btw. The room we purchased was small but we didn't need much as we spent most of the weekend exploring the nearby Fossil Beds. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and will happily recommend it to anyone who considers staying there as well.

Absolutely beautiful property with the kindest staff. Dorothy was such a pleasure to talk to and the restaurant staff was also amazingly considerate and attentive (I’m so sorry we didn’t catch their names) we will absolutely be back one day. Very courteous staff. Charming hotel, with tidy rooms. Lovely ambience in the hotel and in the breakfast area. Decent breakfast with types of food as expected. The room was clean, but probably would’ve benefited from a quick re-clean before check-in. Elevator a little old, but to be expected from a historic hotel. The hotel uses actual metal keys, and has a policy of leaving the key on the reception desk with a name printed out on a piece of paper. This is a security issue that large chain hotels avoid. They should look into maintaining confidentiality as to which room you are going to be in.

On an excursion to visit historic hotels - this one only 105 years old but recently remodeled with all the needed amenities. Good reasonable restaurant and service - limited menu but goof food.
