Amazing hotel, very nice decor and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast and bar also a delight and the grounds very pretty, especially in the morning with the sun shining through the trees.
Only the access to the hotel is not very pleasant, the single lane road during the dark I dread everytime I visit. I'm not used to drving on single lane roads in Wales and it's something I find painful. Maybe the solution is to find a one way system so you don't face on-coming traffic at night?
Lovely staff with a great welcome and fantastic service throughout. The room in the stable block was perfect, quiet, clean, warm and comfy. Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked from local produce. And what’s nicer than an evening drink in front of an open fire. Perfect

What a lovely hidden gem of a hotel. Fantastic staff, great food. Will definitely be back, thank you x
Lovely stay, really friendly and helpful reception, clean and nicely decorated room, comfy bed and quiet nights sleep. It's a bit off the beaten path but I think that's part of its charm, as it is set in beautiful surroundings.

Lovely remote location ,excellent food and nice golf course adjacent
Magic hotel, will stay again (but different room).
Really great hotel - fully recommend.
However, Room 8 needs a desk lamp or lamp over the mirror otherwise there is no light at that end of the room unless you put all the main lights on. Also the ceiling in bedroom and bathroom needs some repairs. Also has a view over the kitchen extractors which start up at 6.30am!

Nice hotel and good breakfast
Nice hotel, and good breakfast. Felt a little let down with the premium room that I paid more for (room 10). Shower was not usable and water pressure / temperature was way too inconsistent. Also, there was no TV remote in the room.
A lovely venue with attentive staff. There was an initial mix up with check in where the room I was allocated wasn’t made up, but this was resolved and I ended up with an upgrade.
This is a lovely hotel in a rural setting but relatively close (around 10min) to the M4. Driving up the narrow lane to the hotel set the mood for me, quiet and tranquil.
The staff throughout the stay were friendly and accomodating.
This was a business trip and we hosted a business dinner at the restaurant. The service was very good as was the food. Again the entire approach was very relaxed which allowed for a great evening.
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Even though the building is quite old (wooden floor boards, etc.) there was no noise issues. Everything in the room was spotless.
The only minor point is that the hotel is quite old but well maintained but it is showing it's age in some areas. This is nothing that would put me off staying there again and would recommend it for families too. I would love to return and have some spare time to explore some of the hotels other amenities.
Beautiful, old hotel, and a very beautiful property overlooking the lights in the valley and the city of Cardiff. Incredible stay. Highly recommend.
