Don’t come for the shower (weak, inconsistent temperature), or breakfast coffee efficiency (stood in a queue for 15 mins in lobby to get a cup of coffee). They are redoing the restaurant so maybe some steps in a positive direction, but rooms feel dark and old. Outdated bathrooms.

I’ll start by saying that the staff was amazing. My low rating is based on the fact that this hotel is listed as 4 star hotel and its price. It’s nowhere near a 4 star. 2-3 star at best.

Always a fun option. The rooms are small, decorated with university of CA, Berkeley swag. Easy check in and a place to park which is valuable in Berkeley. Decent food on site, thousands of restaurants within walking distance as is the University.
