The dinner menu was excellent with great alternatives, as was with the breakfast menu. Only problem is a general one of hotels in Spain of them not knowing how to cook bacon.
Nice hotel and grounds with good access to the boardwalk. We stayed at the RIU Arecas, the hotel immediately behind it. The RIU Palace is a good hotel if you want larger hotel gardens and boardwalk access for the elderly etc. However, if you don’t mind walking down a large flight of steps, the RIU Arecas is the same standard and had better food.
Awesome experience. Outstanding customer service. Great location.

Wonder location, room a little tired
Great location by the sea , fantastic grounds and staff . The room itself was a bit tardy and hadn't been maintained to a standard id expect for this hotel.

Good, not great.
We went in with mild expectations as we have stayed at a Riu before and have an idea on what to expect.
Overall, it was fine. Place was clean, staff were excellent - outside of the lady who checked us in and was not overly friendly and enjoyed saying “no” a lot.
Cleaning staff and restaurant staff were 10/10.
Breakfast was good, something we looked forward too but still could be improved.
Buffet dinner was pretty bad. The rate we paid to include half board was absolutely not worth it after trying the buffet dinner. We ended up having dinners outside the resort because it was so bad. Also they charge you for water and pop etc which seems wildly unfair for such a large scale resort.
The demographic is mostly 75 plus year olds and being in our 30’s, this was a bit of a shock. Overall, that was fine as they were very quiet!
Next time we will stay elsewhere and look forward to eating more food off the resort. Not worth the money.

Excellent staff. Very good position in Costa Adeje. Good food. Pool area very well maintained and communal areas generally excellent. Reasonably priced pool bar for lunch/coffee/ beers.
Overall a good hotel and the best we’ve stayed in at Costa Adeje. Minor quibbles: the gym was small and fairly limited equipment, no tennis courts etc which some would expect at a 5 star hotel. The perennial problem of beds being reserved by people in the middle of the night was annoying but difficult for the hotel to address. The towels in the room are thin and not what you’d expect in a 5 star hotel but these are minor points.
This hotel (unlike many other hotels is this area) is located right next to the beach. But what is really unique is that this beach is very well protected from the waves which are quite strong sometimes. While many other neighbour beaches were closed ours was open. So in addition to the swimming pools in the hotel we were able to swim every day in the ocean.
We also liked that hotel that hotel is located in a quiet, not crowded, corner of Costa Adeje but one can find restaurants and shops in 10-15 min walk along the beach.
Welcoming and helpful reception and catering staff. Clean and spacious room - lovely shower. Some days room attendant had to be reminded to replace soap and lotion.
We stayed in sea view room which had lovely views over gardens across to the sea. Pleasantly surprised at the variety and quality of the food. We were planning on eating out a few times but changed our minds. The speciality restaurants were both good. The quality of the evening entertainment was varied, some better than others. The ambiance in the theatre seating area could be improved with some table lighting. The pool area was great. We loved the adults only pool.
Overall we would definately stay here again
The location was amazing as well the view
Lack of entertainment
Service to far for 5 star hotel
Employee they are like robots no engagement with client
Food was amazing
Just 3 restaurants
No music at the pools
Rooms the cleaning was rushing
No details on the room
Mattress is to hard
Over all was nice
It’s a good hotel, probably IMHO the best one in the area.
Big gardens, big pools, nice guests, it feels like in a resort.
Staff is nice but the level of service is beyond poor. They do their best but apart from reception ( Jessica and Laura were great!! Thank you girls ) service in the restaurant is miserable ( also in the a la carte one)
A part from that the hotel is very nice and I would recommend it

my only comment is -- no external light on the balcony
It’s probably been the best resort we’ve stayed. To resume everything in one word, we’d say IMPECABLE. Everything was just perfect, from the moment we entered the hotel lobby, to the rooms and all areas. Staff is simply incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurants were just amazing, and the food just delicious. We over indulged every day! The night shows were fantastic. The hotel location couldn’t be better, with the beach just literally 1 minute walk. Quite beach with a life saver post, black sand with pristine waters. We just want to specifically mention Monica, Linda and Ana at front desk; they answered every single of our, sometimes annoying, questions in patient and friendly manner. We were very sad when we left but looking forward to a second visit.
Don't get me wrong, the hotel is nice, rooms are clean and the pool is also nice. Never the less the hotel also shows its age and it is a mass tourist hotel, not recommended for individual travel. The buffet etc is really made for mass tourism, quantity before quality. Everything is charged (e.g. a bottle of water is charged, even thought you are not allowed to drink the water in the hotel room. What is also noticeable is that we paid for 5 nights (with a good discount) as much as most other tourist have paid for a whole week PLUS flight (you find them in all country in the mass tourist offers). I have to say I'm disappointed by hotels.com price policy to not get better discounts. So stay was nice but overall price performance was not good at all
Espaces piscines, bars magnifiques
Accueil réception très agréable et disponible
Magnifique établissement
