The bedroom was spacious and we also had a lovely balcony with views down to the harbour. We were met by our host on arrival and he showed us on a map some places to see in the national park. Due to ferry times, we arrived before the normal check-in time but our room was still ready which was appreciated. The bed was a bit soft but we still managed to sleep well. The window shutters helped to keep it nice and dark too and the air conditioning worked well. The kitchenette was small but well equipped, although we didn't cook that much as the range stocked by the local shop was not that wide! The one downside was the water for showering and washing up which was tepid most of the time.

Quaint apartment with balcony that overlooked the bay (3rd floor). The view of the ocean was beautiful. Apartment was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Very conveniently located right beside the Mijet national park (entrance approx. 20-30 feet from the appartment). Hosts were friendly and communication was easy. The host met with me as I arrived and provided me with an early check. She also gave me additional information about the area. They allowed me to store my baggage the next day until the arrival of my ferry. I would definitely stay here again.

The owners were very friendly and communicated well before and during our trip. Our apartment was in a great place, very clean and had everything we needed. Simply the best! We even had an owl land on our balcony. The view from the balcony is also wonderful. Our kitchen was well equipped. We recommend the Matana house and will be back for sure!!!

The owners were very nice but this didn’t really compensate for the fact the room was tiny, airless and had a broken window shutter which meant light streamed in at sunrise; and the air-con unit directly above the bed just added to the nocturnal misery. Maybe the other rooms are better - who knows? In short, there are better budget options in Mljet.

Appartement au cœur du Parc National de Mjlet

Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et donnent de bons conseil notamment pour les restaurants. Notre chambre était très propre, climatisée avec une jolie vue sur le Parc. L’emplacement quand à lui est idéal pour accéder au parc et au port.

Logement bien situé, à l'entrée du parc, très proche du port et des restaurants (par contre épicerie extrêmement réduite dans le village). L'appartement avec 2 chambres était au dernier étage, calme mais avec un équipement très sommaire, des chambres petites, et une mauvaise odeur dans les douches . Pratiquement pas de wifi dans les étages...Propriétaire discrète mais aimable.

Delightful guest house by the park

The rooms are delightful and super convenient. The hosts are warm and friendly and helpful. We only wish we had been able to stay longer. You're a quick walk from the ferry and a quick walk to the park entrance. We were offered what sounded like a lovely dinner - and only denied the offer because we had no idea when we'd return from a day's exploration. We received a discount on our bike rental in the park, which was great. We spend a full day in the park. The water was warm enough in mid-May to swim. We didn't get to explore the island much in our 24 hours, but we tried! We would love to return - and spend a week or more staying here and exploring. It's a gem of a place. (Shout out to the crew at Kenobo Ribar for dinner - lovely.)

Perfect location and stay !

Great location right next door to entrance to national park and a few minutes walk from the ferry . We only had one night here so location was excellent. Communication with host was super efficient and very helpful , we could leave bags for early check in or late check out which again is great if you need more time at the park . Comfortable beds and Great also to have your own outdoor space and grounds are lovely with vines etc . Really enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been longer !
