The breakfast buffet spread was good, but just could’t enjoy anything as it was over crowded in a tiny area. No one was guiding the guests and people were literally pushing at each other to grab food….which was not being replenished either

The hotel was fine—close to the airport with a decent breakfast. What I found unacceptable was that they charged me USD 150 (46,000 rupees) for a driver from Negombo to Sigiriya. This is roughly triple the average cost, and even after I questioned it and declined, they insisted this was the standard price. I understand it was a long journey; however, for even longer drives elsewhere in Sri Lanka, I paid about one-third of this cost and received better service.

The hotel is decent, but at this price point, expectations weren’t matched. The room was so humid that even the bed linens felt damp. Pre-arrival communication was frustratingly poor—I had to threaten to cancel just to get them to honor the complimentary transfer mentioned at booking. That said, the staff upon arrival were kind and helpful, and the room was clean despite the humidity issue. Not a place I’d recommend, though it might still be the least bad option in the area.

We decided to stay here to be close to airport prior to our flight and pay the upgrade for transport to airport. In that respect, this hotel did help us be close to the airport and the transport to airport was seamless. In addition, the people were extremely friendly. However, the rest of the stay was lacking. This was rated a 4 star hotel, but I think it is more a 3 star hotel. Our toliet didn't flush properly and the bidet hose leaked when we flushed. This was even more problematic because I got sick with food poisoining from the hotel buffet the night after eating there right before our flight. I did see some bugs in the room. The pool and amenities look much nicer in the photos than in real life. I wish I loved it because the people were so nice, but I would not go back due the above.

Arrived late after a long day flying. Check in was as swift as it could be and we were soon in our room. Clean and cool with comfy beds, toiletries available, water, etc. what more could you need for a stay between flights? Breakfast was delicious, plenty to choose from. But oddly tea was not readily available though they brewed a pot when I asked. The staff are all so lovely and extremely helpful and friendly. Laying by the pool is bliss (still here!) and they’ve given us a complimentary late checkout as our flight isn’t until this evening. Only downside is that no-one was there to meet us at the airport as promised. Our original flight was cancelled, I messaged the hotel with new flight details which was about 3 hrs later than the original, but never got a response so I assume it was not read. It meant after a long day of traveling we had to figure out how to get someone to come get us which frustratingly added another 40 minutes to our already long day. But overall would highly recommend this airport hotel.
