Very pleasant overnight stay. Excellent food and service from friendly staff. Attractive setting. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Warm despite the cold weather. Pleasant short walk to Donnington Castle with superb views over surrounding countryside. Decor and fittings in the room looking tired but generally clean.

Our room was absolutely lovely. Large, airy and comfortable. Excellent shower but we did not like the extractor fan which came on when the lights came on automatically and stayed on for about 20 minutes- not good in the middle of the night.

We enjoyed every meal in the restaurant at the hotel. The service was excellent. I don’t recall the last time we dined out that the waitress and waiter were so nice. The dishes we tried were so good!!

Gothic style hotel in superb, quiet surroundings

Comfortable stay is a period property in beautiful grounds. Only 2 downsides to spoil the perfection - fire alarm fault at 2300 on 1st night and a tiny kipper fillet at breakfast in the morning otherwise faultless.

A PERFECT STAY

Amazing!..stayed in a summer house..great views over lake and putting area..private patio area...spacious comfortable accommodation...great location and food amazing, so compliments to the chef!.. housekeeping also spot on...all in all a great 4 nights trip...will defo be back!
