a beautiful resort in a tranquil setting, staff were excellent and friendly. Wifi reception was bit mixed across the resort.
The shop was expensive in my opinion. 50usd for a cotton printed t-shirt - hot price.
Paradise and one of the most beautiful resorts we have been to staff super helpful and we got to snorkel and paddle board Food was BEST in Jamaica and my husband grew up in st Mary
We stayed in a 2 bed beach villa , the villa was very good , lovely location and well serviced. The beach and lagoon areas are far superior to the beach huts and for a couple the lagoon cottages are probably the way to go. The overall resort is beautiful and an interesting property to stay at . Sadly it was let down by very poor food choice as the main restaurant Gazebo only opened one night during our six night stay. The food and service at Gazebo were very good and comparable to Jamaica Inn where we had stayed the previous week. The rest of the time only the casual restaurant was open with poor food choices compounded by offering a reduced menu from the norm and on occasions poor quality. Some of the staff in particular the beach staff were excellent but when we raised food quality issues it was met with indifference . The service improved when the owner arrived and managers became more visible . Overall given the price point for staying at GoldenEye the food offering was very poor and spoilt our stay.
Incredible and unique property. Island vibe combined with luxury. Never felt crowded. Food was good but a bit pricey. We will be back ☺️

I have stayed here before but i only returned as i wanted to show my friend the place.
Check in staff were okay and breakfast staff were very good and even made us Jamaican chocolate tea. However check out was lousy. We dealt with a sour individual who did not know how to say please or thank you. I did tell him off. This idiot shoukd know that this is the last impression guest have of the property. Its living off its reputation but is over priced and over rated.
Whenever we have been at Goldeneye we always had a good time. We love swimming and snorkeling and even when the weather is not perfect the stay is still relaxing and fun!
We loved our Beach Hut with the extra space downstairs to relax and have breakfast in. We can’t wait to be back!
the legend history staying in my dream whole life. the roaring sea makes my blood rushing to the whole body and feel myself a hero. really fabulous place deserves more stay. thanks the staff provided warm vibes family.
This is a very unique property which is very restful during the day and the property is kept in great condition.
The location is quiet noisy at night with the nearby road.
The staff are generally friendly and helpful however the front desk are quite abrupt and the restaurant staff are sometimes slow and forgetful.
The prices are top dollar but the overall staff service is not 5 star.
I am sooo glad that I got to experience and be a guest at the Goldeneye. From check-in/ check-out I have NO complaints!!! The beach hut w dune room was VERY roomy for two people.....AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL and PEACEFUL...I couldn't stop smiling. I understand why celebrities come here and is why I will continue!!! Thank you!!!!!!!
We stayed in a lagoon cottage. It was amazing to just step into the lagoon for a swim. We saw several sea turtles from our deck which was very cool. Bring bug spray! The mosquitoes were very hungry. The food and cocktails were good - although very expensive! Overall highly recommended. I’m a big Bond fan and had wanted to stay here for a while. Dr No showed when we were staying - iconic!
I cannot say enough good things about this resort. We haven't traveled in over 4 years so wanted our first trip to be special and this place went above and beyond expectations. The service was impeccable. The property was outstanding. We loved to start our days snorkelling with the complimentary gear then head over to the Bamboo Bar for a snack and Red Stripe before taking the kayak around the lagoon to watch the barracuda's, turtles and many other fish. For dinner we'd either go to the Gazebo, Bizot or one of their wonderful buffett nights. Then ending every day at Shabeen's where Glen took great care of us, sourcing a guitar for live music and mixing delicious cocktails!
We were super happy with the level of care by Glen, Lacy Ann, Milton, Alicia, Aston, Jason and so many more!
And the massage... so wonderful!
We can't wait to come back to this gem!
Third time staying at the Golden Eye and I love it here every time. This is a secluded private hotel. It feels like an island in the island. The staff is top tier!!! They are warm, welcoming and just overall great people. You can tell that they really love their job. They make it a point to learn everyone’s name and make you feel right at home. The beach is very clean as well as the pool areas. The ocean could use a little bit more cleaning from all of the algae but not a big deal. Each guest room is a little cottage ranging from a studio style to 2-3 bedrooms with full kitchens. The cottages are huge! You can see the wear and tear in the rooms a bit, the rooms could definitely get upgraded but I think the hotel may be going for the rustic outdoor vibe. Overall, it is amazing for privacy and comfort and the views from this place are breathtaking. 10/10 recommend and I look forward to coming back every year!!)
