The breakfast buffet was excellent, but I had a bad experience where I stayed at room 417. I locked the hotel door before I went to bed. Next day morning before going for breakfast, I unlocked the door but it does not open at all. Even if I pressed or forced it very hard, it won’t still open at all. Fortunately, the cleaner was there outside and knew something was wrong so she went to ask the hotel manager to use a special key and open it. It was a terrible experience. Imagine if there is a fire, I won’t be able to get out!! Please repair the door before you offer it to the hotel guests!! If your room is 417, don’t lock the door!

I had a great time at BW Hotel Royal. The lady at the reception desk was very kind and nice. My room was in a section of the hotel dating back to the 17th century - not something I would have imagined looking at the hotel from the outside. That was excellent! Breakfast was very good (a bit short on pastries but the rest was great). Only downside is that I could hear folks in the hallway, all the cracks and noises partly due to that section of the building being a few centuries old... The hotel is also very centrally located, a few minutes away from the railway station and by a nice canal. Outstading stay overall. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed the immediate proximity to the walkable steets, plazas and parks. The included breakfast had a variety of options. Our room seemed to be designed as a disabled-persons space with single beds on opposite sides and one chair and an oversized bathroom. It was bare of art or ornaments but was acceptable for a 2-night stay. The staff were approachable and friendly.

The hotel is conveniently located in the area close to Malmo C station and all main attractions in Malmo, yet quiet overnight. I only noted very old towels, but also very clean - so nothing bothered me. My room was very spacious and very bright, but if I wanted to sleep longer- the dark curtains made the perfect atmosphere for sleep. Breakfast was very good, excellent and fresh choices, even harring was there, good coffee and freshly squeezed orange-ginger or red berries juice. The only issue was with the right space in the dinning room, but there is additional area outside or inside. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. I was super happy with my stay there, except I paid in advance - they had a free cancellation option, so I didn't get any discount for 7 nights I booked. My advise is to pay at the hotel, so one can negotiate the price.
