The staff at the Hotel Zi are very compassionate and very kind; they do their best with what they can, as far as resources, the property, and managing the behavior of numerous guests and unpredictable issues. That said, there are small carpet stains and damage to the walls which require paint and some work along the baseboards. Though it was a non-smoking room, from the moment I stepped off the elevator and began walking toward the room, it smelled as if I were walking through a smoke filled hall to get to the room and it was like this each day I was present; the odor was quite offensive. Upon check in, for which I am grateful staff was very, very friendly about allowing early on a Saturday at 2pm, I learned the TV was not connecting to any services. They tried to switch my room, however the same problem existed in the other room, too. The hotel was unable to resolve the issue until mid-morning Monday, and also shared that there had been other guests who reported the same connectivity issue. Finally, I tried the buffet style breakfast one morning and it was completely cold and the toaster was not functioning, either. The front desk manager later explained that the person in the kitchen is new and may have forgotten to press the buttons to keep the food (eggs and sausage) warm or to plug in the toaster. Finally, there was also a guest who played music so loudly it echoed from his room and down the hall and through the walls. Soundproof? Not so much.

Do not get the economy rooms

This hotel is Jeckyll and Hyde. If you get a room on the side with the trams, it's awful (see other reviews), if you get a room on the other side, it's totally fine, 4* review, not an issue. I would recommend paying more for the better rooms and finding somewhere else if you want to spend less money.

Horrible experience that we had so far. Not any responsible person at the front desk after evening. They just hanged a number behind the glass door for emergency call that I called them several times but no one took the phone. The room was so hot and smelling like mold is growing because of bad ventilation and moisture. I found some beetles in the last 2 days in the bathroom but no one took the phone to come over for cleaning. There is not any phone in the room to connect to front desk and you need to use your personal phone to reach out to them. The breakfast was supposed to start and 6:30 am but everyday start with delay and first day not serving either without any notice or heads-up email. The bathroom vanity plumbing was leaking and all around the bathroom floor was wet and smelled so bad.

Netter Aufenthalt in einem zentral gelegenen Hotel. Wer so zentral wohnt muss sich bewusst sein, dass es Straßenlärm gibt. Uns hat es nicht gestört. Mehr Ruhe hat man mit den Hofzimmern.

Unsere Anliegen wurden am Telefon im Vorfeld schon sehr freundlich von Frau Clemens entgegen genommen und auch der Hotel Aufenthalt war zu unserer vollen Zufriedenheit. Vor Ort kümmerte sich Herr Zillert um einen Kühlschrank den wir Aufgrund einiger Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten benötigten und das Personal stellte uns diesen sofort ins Zimmer. TOLLES Frühstücksbuffet und freundliche, familiäre Atmosphäre. Wir sagen DANKE für einen gelungenen Aufenthalt 😊.
