The accommodation was very clean and had everything the two of us needed. The kitchen was well equipped (the only thing missing were small spoons). A clear recommendation from us for couples, the close proximity, which makes it possible to get to many of the most important sights on foot, made our short trip a wonderful experience. You should communicate with the hostess a few days before your arrival to be able to organise all the details for your arrival.

Good option for the budget conscious.

This is a charming studio apartment that is very conveniently located to the metro line straight to both the airport and cruise port. It’s also a very easy walk to many of the major attractions (Acropolis, ancient agora, temple of Zeus, etc) along with both high end shopping and lower end tourist “flea market” type shopping. At first, I was a bit nervous because there was a lot of graffiti in the neighborhood, but once we got our bearings, things seemed reasonably safe so long as we did not venture too far away. We did walk to a market about a half mile in one direction (away from the tourist attractions) and had to step around several used needles on the sidewalk, but no one ever approached us in a manner that made us feel unsafe. There were several cafes and restaurants within a few blocks of the apartment. The host was very good at communicating. The only things I’d mention to be aware of: the shower is quite small and my husband is quite tall, and he had to bend down to fit in it, which was a bit awkward for him, but he made it work. And also, being in the basement level (but it has access to the outside patio and plenty of natural light), the wifi was pretty slow, which made it hard for us to do work from there. My husband had to do his zoom calls from the courtyard outside to get a strong enough signal.

Absolut bra budget alternativ.

Bra lägenhet för pengarna. Spartanskt men allting finns. Mysig innegård. Mycket bra kommunikation med hyresvärden. Det enda man ska vara försiktig med är att lämna lägenheten och gå höger på Keramikou Street för långt. För hur det än var hamnade vi på en gata tror den heter Lasonos street och det var en gata där man öppet tog Heroin mitt på gatorna och det låg nålar och sprutor överallt. Vi kände oss inte hotade alls men det var tufft och tungt att se sådan misär det och samtidigt en nyttig erfarenhet och vi fick bra samtal med barnen våra som är 11 och 15 efter det.
