The checkout kiosk was a terrible experience after a long day of travel. While it wasn’t the remote agent’s fault, it was hard to hear and took SOOO much longer than if there was a local employee behind a counter per usual. I’m certain someone local to this town would do that job. It makes me think Baymont chooses to save money on US employees rather than provide a good experience to customers.

The staff was extremely helpful, although I previously had a difficult experience with the kiosk somewhere else but here my experience with the virtual kiosk was outstanding. I truly enjoyed it. Thank you, I would definitely stay here again.

Do not stay here. Not worth the money. If your not lucky youll get a staff member that is rude, doesn't work with you in regards to checking in early to get ready for a wedding. When she finally does let you check in early there will be a $25 cash fee that you can most def see her pocket. However the general manager is fantastic . Wish there were more staff member's there like her.

Terrible place

The property itself was overrun with weeds, the bedroom had coffee stains on counter which could of easily be whipped clean, the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. The curtains were stained and discolored. The staff not friendly nor helpful.

The rooms were dirty, the halls smelled, no ventilation in the bathrooms, and the breakfast was less then acceptable. $200 a night and less then acceptable service. The guy checking us in couldn't even stand up and greet us. We brought grandchildren and the pool was closed. On a weekend!!!! Ugh.

Average accommodations

The Baymont in Waterford is an okay facility, but it is older and the room I had was small. There was no room to even open up and set up the little luggage rack. It seemed that in many aspects the philosophy of the hotel was to provide minimal supplies and comforts. When we checked in a sign noted that the pool was closed. I have no idea if it has been that way for a week or month, and when it will be fixed. Our room was supplied with only two coffee packets. I asked for more and got two, and when the room got cleaned, only two were put with the pot in the room. Breakfast offerings were austere at best, no fruit, Walmart yogurt, some cereal. The only hot offering was a pancake machine. Like I said, bare minimum to get by. On the bright side, my room was promptly cleaned each day and the towels were nice. The motel was in a convenient location for the wedding we attended, which is why I booked it. Very few guests the nights I was there….

Did not stay, dirty and unsafe

Before entering the hotel, the building seemed dated and not well maintained. Upon walking inside there was a dirty entry way and a front desk missing letters of the hotel’s name on the wall. Check-in was quick and I proceeded into the elevator with my young family. The elevator was dirty and had a funny smell, we made it up to our floor and when the doors opened the hall was dirty all the way down to our room. I opened the door to find our hotel with the same dirty, smelly, interior; with the security door latch missing, leaving only the holes where the screws once held it in place. There did not seem to be any other guests, and I quickly informed my family we would be leaving. We only stayed in the room long enough to book a room at a nearby Radisson at 2x’s the price and it would turn out to be well worth it. On our way out I checked out telling the employee that we would not be staying here and the same employee that checked me in did not even ask what was wrong, his only comment was that we could not have a refund as we pre-payed.
