I would love to say that this is a five star hotel. It has a five star gym and pool area - that’s about it and is the only reason that I stay here compared to other hotels in Manchester.
Firstly, the hotel seemed understaffed and it took ages to check in. There was no welcome drink and overall the service was poor. I didn’t get any of my VIP access benefits. They don’t even give you a free bottle of water in the room anymore.
The rooms are in dire need of an upgrade. The carpets are dated and dirty and the bathroom was clearly being patched up with repairs from leaks. I just feel that for something that is so expensive and it’s five star rated, I have had much better quality of room in much cheaper hotels around Manchester.
