Beach Cities
This was a first time visit for me. I liked the pier quite a bit because it has a much more laid back vibe. Not nearly as as busyother beaches in the area.

If you’re California Dreamin’, your dreams are likely to involve these warm, sunny spots along the Pacific Ocean coast near Los Angeles.

Los Angeles County’s western border seems like one long stretch of sand and picturesque rocks along the ocean, but it’s actually composed of Beach Cities with distinct cultures and appeal. Come for sun, sand and waves and enjoy each town’s unique attractions.

Starting about 30 miles (50 kilometers) west of LA, MalibuOpens in a new window has 21 miles (34 kilometers) of beaches, with surfers, celebrities and surfing celebrities, such as Rob Lowe. Room was clean. Beds not very comfortable. Pillows were very thin and when we asked for more the clerk said she’d see what she could do and never brought us more. Breakfast was not much. Parking was easy. Ok for one night.
