A bright and carefree holiday town in the north, St. Julian’s has broad appeal for any trip to Malta’s gorgeous coast.

Relax and enjoy sun, sea and delicious Maltese cuisine. Find everything you need for a sunny holiday in St. Julian’s. Once a humble fishing village, it’s now a sprawling holiday town with a beautiful coastline, full of hotels, bars and restaurants.

In the summer, St. Julian’s welcomes tourists from across Malta and beyond. Stroll along the huge Portomaso Marina and see a huge line-up of yachts. Here you’ll find the Portomaso Casino, housed in the city’s sole skyscraper, Portomaso Business Tower, the tallest building in Malta. Stately Palazzo Spinola dates back to the 17th century, built for a noble knight. It’s now the seat of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean.

Most of the nightspots in St. Julian’s are concentrated in bustling Paceville, known throughout Malta as a party spot, where young people gather in bars and nightclubs along a few streets. North of Paceville is a great place to swim in the beautiful ocean at expansive St. George’s Bay. Travelling out from the centre of St. Julian’s, find little inlets with their own character, like Balluta Bay and Spinola Bay, where you’ll see lots of fishing boats out on the water. Balluta has its neo-gothic church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and also the popular and huge Old Parish Church in the city centre.

Venture inland beyond St. Julian’s sleek waterfront to experience a window into authentic Maltese fishing village life. A multitude of statues stand guard over these narrow streets, all with their own stories. Although you won’t find any sandy beaches, the water is clear and gorgeous. Several shipwrecks are reachable off the coast here, so get your diving gear and do some exploring. From St. Julian’s it’s very easy to take a 20-minute trip around the coast to Malta’s capital, Valletta.

"Great location and property, it was absolutely beautiful. Only thing I didn’t particularly care for was the pool hours- they closed oddly early. Also, the pools could probably use an upgrade in general. Literally everything else was a 9+ out of 10."

As mentioned in the promo literature it is close to Paceville and the nightlife and can therefore be noisy if you have your bedroom door open a little at night
