Charing Cross - a Guoman Hotel

“Great location!”

The staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked for some advice about where to dine. The location was amazing since it was so close to the underground, which made it very convenient to travel around the city. The breakfast was okay, but nothing too spectacular. I definitely recommend the hotel.

The only complaint I had with the hotel is that when I booked the room, I was specific about wanting 2 twin beds instead of one King size bed. When they came up to split the king bed it was not two twins...it could not be split. When we asked for a different room, we were told we would have to wait 2 days before another room would be available. They did offer to bring in another bed, but it would have taken up all of the extra space in the room so we declined and just used the King size bed. It was very comfortable though :-) The room was always very clean when we returned in the afternoon. Also, the location is PERFECT! We were in London for 10 days and stayed at the Charing Cross-Guoman Hotel the entire time. It was really a great place to stay.

“Great Location”

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also very beautiful but the best part of the hotel is the location. There are two tube stations to take you anywhere and there are lots of attractions within walking distance.

“Great London Hotel”

This hotel is at a GREAT London location - right at the Charing Cross tube/train station, near Trafalgar and theatre. Room was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The Concierges were extremely helpful in providing guidance and assisting with plans. Would stay there again!!

“Best location in town for the typical tourist”

The hotel was very nice and clean.They asked if we wanted to upgrade but we declined as we were only going to sleep there.All of the staff were very courteous and helpful at all times.It's much nicer inside than it looks on the outside.I would recommend this hotel to anybody and it is where we are going to stay when we go back next year.This has to be the best central location to almost everything and anywhere to may want to go or do.

“Loved our stay in London!”

Our stay at the Charing Cross-a Guoman Hotel in June 2009 was great! It is in a very convenient location to see all of the major sites of London. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance or could be reached by using the Tube, where there are two stations adjacent to the hotel. We thought we were getting a room with two twin beds, but ended up with one queen, which worked out ok. The room was great and very clean. The only problem we had was that the shower in our room was not working quite correctly. We had a problem with our t.v. one afternoon and after reporting the problem at the front desk, our t.v. was fixed within 10 minutes. The service was wonderful. We would definitely stay at Charing Cross again and would recommend a stay here to any friends who were visiting London.

“Very nice location”

This hotel was a very nice hotel! We enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, and the location was terrific for all of our sightseeing. The breakfast was expensive but there was a Starbucks right across the street and a very nice breakfast place in a park like setting minutes away.

“Best Location in Town !”

This is the perfect hotel if you are taking the Underground. There is a station stop right under the hotel. (no you can't hear the subway under the hotel). The hotel is grand and beautiful, with a 24 hr bar on the 1st floor for guests. Beware you are in the middle of town, so expect city noises you can hear from your room. Beds are hard but I guess thats the way the English like them. Skip the room upgrade unless your unhappy with you room. Will go back ! Tons of attractions within a short walk.

“Perfect location”

You can't get more central in London than this hotel. The rooms were clean and adequately sized. No free breakfast. :( Very easy walk to both the Charing Cross and Embankment tube stations. The concierge wasn't particularly helpful, but everything else about this hotel was terrific.
