“Prince of Wales is an Excellent Choice”
.
“Review of service and accomodations”
Staff was friendly, helpful, but not overbearing. Warm and comfortable atmosphere.
“A night to remember”
We really enjoyed our stay at this fine hotel. Although our stay was short and off season, it was most relaxing. I will recommend it to all my family and friends. The service was beyond compare.I loved the quaintness of it. We will make it our business to return again...
“best place in town”
we really enjoyed our first trip here! rooms were very quiet and comfortable and the ambience in the hotel lobby, restaurant and even the hallways was wonderful. can't beat the location for walking around town to shop, restaurants, etc. wouldn't stay anywhere else when we go back.
“Comfort and Luxury”
This was a special trip for my mother. We only stayed one night so I can't comment on much of the service, but it was a real treat to stay there. Nice touches like a soothing CD that you could play, the maid brought a rose at night. The hotel is so conveniently located, parked behind the hotel (cost is $5.00 a night)and walked most of the places we wanted to go. Parking is not easy in this small town and most of it is now metered and expensive. We did not eat in the hotel - it seemed bery expensive and a bit too formal for us, but afternoon tea looked beautiful and would be a nice treat. We did have after dinner drinks in the Churchill Lounge and appreciated the fireplace. We usually stay in B&Bs when we go to NOL, much cheaper, but this was a special trip so I splurged on the hotel since we were only going to be there one night.
“A fine hotel in a charming town”
The Prince of Wales is elegant and comfortable. The service was good, with staff very helpful. The only flaw was that the fresh fruit promised in the room on arrival did not materialize until the third afternoon. It has a spa, which we did not use, but did enjoy the indoor saltwater pool and jacuzzi. The restaurant is good, although the food is excessively salty. The high tea is wonderful; we had ours at 1:00 and it served as both lunch and dinner!
“Loved it!”
We were at the Prince when the Oct. snow storm hit Buffalo. We encountered no problems but did enjoy watching snow flakes fall as we enjoyed breakfast by the big glass windows looking out to the street. My husband loves quality woodwork and comfort and we found these delightful at the "Prince". It enhanced out trip greatly.
“A charming hotel in the midst of Niagara on the Lake”
I would recommend this hotel to travelers who want to park their car and enjoy wallking to all the wonderful restaurants, shops and sites in town. The Prince of Wales is a charming hotel and is located in the midst of the beautiful town of Niagara on the Lake.
“Clean, comfortable, and convenient”
We have stayed at the Pillar and Post several times, but this was our first stay at the Prince of Wales. The staff was as friendly and helpful as could be. My overall satisfaction was only a 4 because the pool/hot tub facilities were not nearly as nice as the Pillar and Post's. The location - right down town - meant that we didn't have to deal with the parking problem in the village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. This is a definite plus
